Dorin Sauerbier began working as a press operator in 1986 at Record Technology Inc. after serving four years in the military. He also duplicated audiocassettes before shifting into the electroforming department. Plating peaked his interest above all the other jobs involved with manufacturing vinyl records. The combination of machinery, processes, chemicals and the problem-solving involved with producing record stampers makes Sauerbier’s job interesting to him on a daily basis.
