Harm Theunisse, one of the owners of Symcon, which has several offices in the world. Symcon is a total service supllier for the CD, DVD, BD and vinyl industry. We supply: chemicals, consumables, spare parts and (used) equipment. Harm started a project called  www.greenvinylrecords.com This project contains a new injection molding process to produce vinyl, instead of old school pressing. The goal: to reduce the amount of energy within the vinyl record manufacturing process. This by developing durable plastics and clean, low-energy injection moulding processes. Maintaining the familiar vinyl record feeling is key within this process. And that’s thr biggest challenge: to create and maintain the same feeling, with new materials and manufacturing processes.
