A veteran of the entertainment industry, Harry Weinger is currently Vice President of A&R for Universal Music
Enterprises, the catalog reissue arm of Universal Music Group. Weinger has produced and/or managed hundreds of releases, winning two Grammy® Awards and other honors for his work. His definitive overview of the music of Mr. Brown, the box set Star Time, was a Grammy® Award winner and named by The New York Times “one of the Top 25 recordings of the 20th Century.” He also co-produced the Grammy®-winning soundtrack to Standing in the Shadows of Motown, the acclaimed film about Motown’s Funk Brothers band, as well as the Grammy®-nominated soundtrack to Get On Up, the James Brown biopic. For Broadway, Weinger co-exec-produced the original cast recordings for the Tony Award-winning and Tony Award-nominated productions, respectively, of Ain’t Too Proud and Motown the Musical. Most recently he has overseen several newly remastered vinyl reissues from the Bob Marley catalog. He owns a Rega P3 turntable.
