Karl Groeger Jr. is the President and CEO of both Looney Tunes Record Store in West Babylon and Brookvale Records.

Karl Jr. started working at his father’s record store at the age of 6 years old and has never looked back. Looney Tunes was opened in 1971 by Karl Groeger Sr. In 1988 Karl Jr. took over the reigns. His love of music has helped him run one of the most successful independent record stores for 5 decades.  Looney Tunes is a proud member of the CIMS coalition (Coalition of Independent Music Stores) where Karl also sits on its Board of Directors.  Looney Tunes has been recognized as one of the industry leaders and voted as one of the top record stores in the country.

Brookvale Records started in 2007 and is distributed by The Orchard/SONY Music. With an emphasis on deluxe packaging and superior sound mastering, Brookvale Records has become a leader in the vinyl re-issue world with over 70 highly acclaimed releases to date. Some of the great artist release they have done include the following: Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead, Howlin’ Wolf, Maroon 5, Brandi Carlisle, Blues Traveler and various soundtracks to name a few. They have 20 releases scheduled for fall 2017 and 2018.

Karl has been married to his beautiful wife Allison for 25 years and has two wonderful daughters Taylor and Crystal. Some of his other interests include Golf and Martial Arts.  Karl has been training in Japanese Martial Arts for 30 years and holds multiple Black Belts ranks in 4 different systems.  Karl also often does public speaking on music related topics. He is also very proud of the community service projects he lends his time to.
