Katy Clove is production manager at Merge Records in Durham, North Carolina. An Oregon native, Katy has a fine arts degree in photography and began working in design and production following her move to North Carolina in 2000. During the early to mid 2000s, she worked as a graphic designer, designing books for Duke University Press, in addition to creating websites, collateral, and music packaging for the UNC-Chapel Hill Art Department, Merge Records, City Slang, Branch Gallery, and independent artists. From 2009–2016, she was a premedia specialist at an advertising agency, handling prepress and color management for clients such as Sherwin-Williams, Nationwide Insurance, Gold’s Gym, and Samsung. Memorable projects include participating in the art direction and design of the Merge Records 20th Anniversary box set and a book commissioned by the John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute, which was presented to John Hope Franklin on his 90th birthday.
