Making Vinyl Conference in Nashville Celebrates Success with Nearly 400 Visitors

Nashville/ Haarlem/ Braunschweig, June 13, 2024 – The Making Vinyl Conference, the premier event dedicated to vinyl records’ resurgence and cultural significance, concluded its recent gathering in Nashville with resounding success.

The event attracted nearly 400 attendees, including industry professionals and leaders from the entire vinyl record manufacturing supply chain, showcasing vinyl’s enduring appeal and vibrant future. The team can now focus on the preparations for the upcoming partner event in the Netherlands Making Vinyl Europe.

The US conference, held from June 3-5 at the Hutton Hotel, featured a robust lineup of speakers, panel discussions, and showings from some of the most influential figures in the vinyl industry. Highlights included a keynote presentation by Kevin Lewandowski, CEO of Discogs, on Day Two, workshops on pressing and packaging innovations, and networking opportunities that fostered collaboration and growth within the vinyl community.

Building on this momentum, Making Vinyl is excited to announce that registration is now open for its next European edition, which will take place from September 30 to October 2 in Haarlem, Netherlands. The Haarlem event promises to bring the same level of excitement and insight, with a focus on the unique dynamics of the European vinyl market. “We eagerly anticipate our European edition in Haarlem,” Bryan Ekus added. “The interest in vinyl is truly global, and we look forward to bringing together the European vinyl community to share knowledge, forge connections, and celebrate this beloved format.”

European Conference Director Andreas Kohl hints at this year’s focus of the conference: “In the proximity of time to the Haarlem Vinyl Festival, the goal is to incorporate all aspects of cultural expression connected and driven by vinyl. In 2024, we would emphasize celebrating the soul-stirring power of music and the enduring legacy of vinyl.”
