Three days of industry exchange, new perspectives, and the people behind vinyl – September 30–October 2 at PHIL Haarlem
Orlando, FL, USA / Braunschweig, Germany – September 2026 – The countdown is on. The Making Vinyl Europe team is in the final stages of preparation for three days of panels, workshops, seminars, exhibitions, networking and conversations at PHIL Haarlem in the Netherlands. Professionals – and those looking to enter the industry – from across the international vinyl community will come together under this year’s theme, “Building Value Beyond Volume.”
The program connects the many different topics of the industry – from mastering and cutting to pressing, equipment and materials, packaging, labels, distribution, retail and the wider music business. But Making Vinyl Europe is ultimately about more than processes, technologies, and products. It is about the people behind them.
Different Perspectives. Different Generations. One Industry.
As the vinyl industry looks to the future, attracting and developing a new generation of talent has become increasingly important. Making Vinyl Europe is helping to close that gap by bringing experienced industry professionals together with students and young people interested in exploring careers across the vinyl value chain.
The conference brings together professionals from every part of the industry, many with decades of knowledge and expertise, while creating space for emerging talent to contribute new ideas, skills and perspectives. Students are welcome throughout Making Vinyl Europe, with a special €50 Student Ticket providing access to the full conference program from Wednesday through Friday.
Friday’s program will place a particular emphasis on the next generation, with sessions dedicated to career opportunities, knowledge exchange and direct engagement with industry leaders. The program will conclude with a career fair, giving students and young professionals the opportunity to meet participating companies and learn about employment, internships, mentorships and the wide range of careers available within the vinyl industry.
Organized in partnership with Abbey Road Institute and the Haarlem Vinyl Festival, the selected Friday sessions and career fair will be open to students free of charge, without requiring the purchase of a full conference ticket.
